Located on the banks of Connecticut River and in the U.S. state of Massachusetts, Springfield is known by numerous names. Some call it “The City of Firsts” due to its several innovations; some call it “The Hoop City” because it is the birthplace of Basketball, and others like to call it “The City of Homes” for its Victorian architecture.  There are a plethora of reasons to visit Springfield:
